Greater Cambridge Local Plan – Consultation now open

The consultation on the Greater Cambridge Local Plan is now open until 5pm on 13 December 2021.

It is important that you share your views on the new Local Plan as it affects how we live, work and play in Greater Cambridge over the next 20 years and beyond.

The Parish Council will be making there own response to the consultation but, whilst the PCs views will be given some weight, this only counts as one response.  It is important that villagers engage in the process and put forward their views.

The village will be aware of the issues related to East West Rail and proposed development north of the A428. Whilst the plan as proposed has no development proposed for Cambourne north of the A428 the planners have put a marker down by including a proposal for an expansion of Cambourne with 1950 houses at an ‘as yet not defined’ location. The concern is that this might not be restricted to the existing developments south of the A428, so might be worth commenting on.

There are a variety of events over the next few weeks including:

  • Thursday 18 November, 4.30 to 7.30pm: In-person drop-in event: Cambourne Hub

The consultation can be found on the Greater Cambridge Shared Planning website
